BACKGROUND

The process of providing a salary advance is costly both in terms of payroll staff time and additional record keeping. The CSU discourages salary advances and most CSU campuses do not provide salary advances to employees.

POLICY

Effective as of the date of this revision, CSUSB employees may receive only one salary advance during their employment at CSUSB.

Employees are encouraged to take advantage of various financial institution materials and periodic university sponsored information sessions related to personal finance.
